Acoustician – Building Compliance Consultancy (Home-Based) Salary: Up to £38,000 Location: Home-based (UK) with occasional site visits Experience: Ideally 2+ years Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Acoustician to join their Building Compliance consultancy, supporting a busy and varied portfolio of planning and compliance projects. They take the time to understand individual challenges, offering not just testing and reports, but early-stage advice that helps projects succeed first time. This is a predominantly home-based role, offering genuine flexibility, autonomy and trust, with occasional site visits as required. The Role You’ll take full ownership of your work, delivering projects from start to finish: ✅ End-to-end acoustic assessments, from site surveys through to final reports ✅ High-quality BS4142 and BS8233 planning reports ✅ Noise at Work assessments across a variety of environments ✅ Setup, management and interpretation of long-term noise & vibration monitoring ✅ Practical, experience-led advice at early design and build stages ✅ Independent management of workload, deadlines and technical outputs About You You’ll be confident, capable and happy working independently: ✅ 2+ years’ experience working as an Acoustician ✅ Proven experience with BS4142 and BS8233 ✅ Strong background in Noise at Work assessments ✅ Experience handling long-term monitoring data ✅ Comfortable working entirely autonomously ✅ IOA membership (or actively working towards it) ✅ Clear, professional technical reporting skills ✅ Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer ⭐ Salary up to £38,000 ⭐ Home-based working with flexible site visits ⭐ A role offering trust, autonomy and flexibility ⭐ A well-established consultancy with thousands of satisfied customers ⭐ A people-first culture that values expertise over box-ticking Our client is known for making time for their customers and keeping the entire process — from enquiry and booking through to testing and reporting — straightforward and hassle-free.
